The lens is fitted behind the shutter which protects it quite well. What a novel ideal. When I first received the camera I thought that the lens was missing. The camera has only one portrait format viewfinder, unlike most other Kodak box cameras.

Some of Kodak's cameras had the word "cartridge" in the title because it was thought that roll film looked like a shotgun cartridge.
